Empty Bowl” Fundraiser
Time: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Details: Delicious soups from the Bastrop area’s best restaurants and caterers, great live music and beautiful handcrafted pottery bowls! That’s the “menu” for Bastrop’s 8th annual Empty Bowl Project fundraiser on Feb. 25—from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. –in the Bastrop High School Cafeteria (1614 Chambers St.). Tickets are $20 per person for all the soup and dessert you want to sample (and a pottery soup bowl); children 12 and under eat free. All proceeds benefit the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry & Support Center. Tickets at the door or, in advance, at the Pantry (1201 Pine), the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce (927 Main) and the Sugar Shack (114 Loop 150 W.)
