The Bastrop Bears defeated Akins 35-21 in the last home game of the year. The Bears led 7-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. The score came on a 49 yard pass from Lee McMillan to Darrell McCloud. In the 2nd quarter the Bears started the scoring on a 2 yard run by Mustafa Akbar. Akins scored and Bastrop followed with a 22 yard touchdown pass from Josiah Monroe to Auston Shipley. The final score for the half was another 21 yard touchdown pass from Monroe to Adam Mack and the half ended with the Bears leading 28-7. The only score in the 3rd period was a 78 touchdown run by Akins D’Auuhndre Raindle and the Bears led 28-14. In the 4th quarter the teams traded touchdowns with Bastrop scoring on a 7 yd pass from Monroe to Hicks and Akins scoring on a Reggie Meyers 15 yard fumble run with the final score a 35-21 victory for the Bears. The Bears led in all statistics.
