Bastrop Bears defeat Dripping Springs 34-8

Bastrop defeated Dripping Springs 34-8 in a district game played in Dripping Springs. There was no scoring in the first quarter, but Bastrop went ahead in the second quarter on a 26 yard run by Ricky Lincoln. The extra point by Kevin Klaus was good. The Bears out gained Dripping Springs 426-205 in total yardage. The final home game is this Friday against New Braunfels Canyon in a most important district game. The Bears are 6-2 for the season and 3-1 in district play.
